Liberty’s Lutheran Congregational Services (LCS) is an educational and social ministry organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We reach out to local congregations through our connections with the Southeastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania Synods of the ELCA.
Our collaborative relationships with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) have enabled us to continue to fulfill our mission in faith and with purpose as we partner with congregations and communities of believers throughout Eastern Pennsylvania.
LCS uses a hands-on approach to identify the needs of churches, parishioners and the wider community through:
- Lutheran Disaster Response-Eastern PA
- Grief Recovery
- Lay Eucharistic Visitor Training
- Consultation Services
God's Work, Our Hands
God's Work, Our Hands is coming on September 13, 2020.
We need your help to bring cheer and hope to residents and staff in our communities who along with others in congregant settings across our country, have missed the fellowship of friends and family.
Here are a few ways you can help:
Make colorful cards, or start a pen pal program for older adults at Artman, Paul’s Run, or The Hearth at Drexel. Our Community Life Directors are happy to connect you with our residents and staff.
Pack hygiene kits for people experiencing homelessness.
Gather a group to view Volunteer Guidance from Lutheran Disaster Response – COVID 19
Host a fundraiser to raise funds for rental assistance or to donate to Lutheran Disaster Response – Eastern PA
