Lay Eucharistic Visitor Training
Eucharistic Visitors are members of the congregation who are selected by their pastor and trained to bring the communion meal from worship to ill and homebound members of their congregation who are unable to attend service.
LCS’s training ministry engages learners in the Biblical and theological background of the Sacrament of Holy Communion and teaches potential Eucharistic Visitors about visitation and administration of the sacrament.
LCS will host a virtual trainings for Lay Eucharistic Visitors in spring 2021.
Training will be held via zoom on
Saturday May 8, and May 22, 2021
Those participating will be mailed a guidebook prior to the training. Participants will be asked to read sections of the text prior to the training day (instructor is Pastor Sandra Brown).
We will be using Zoom to deliver the training, which will last about two hours. Participants will be asked to complete some follow up work and a final virtual check-in before the training certificate is issued.

Training will discussion options for how to deliver the Eucharist in times of social distancing.
