God's Work. Our Hands.

When: September 11, 2022

Time: 12pm-3pm

Where: Northeastern PA Synod Office, 2354 Grove Road, Allentown PA

“God’s Work. Our hands.” September 11, 2022, is a day for rediscovering others and ourselves in service. It is an opportunity for us to perform acts of service in response to God’s love through Jesus.

Lutheran Disaster Response – Eastern PA is excited to offer a special opportunity for anyone wishing to learn basic rebuilding skills like spackling, painting and using basic power tools. We find that once volunteers get introduced to some basic skills they feel more ready to volunteer, now just for disaster response, but for opportunities like Youth Build and Appalachian Service Project, and even working on projects at their own homes!

God’s Work Our Hands

Skills Day

Join us on September 11, 2022 from 12:00pm -3:00 pm at Northeastern Synod Office of the ELCA at 2354 Grove Road, Allentown, PA for lunch and skills demonstrations nd learn how you can volunteer for missions and ministries involved in relief efforts.

Kids projects will also be available!

To register, email Heidi Shilanskas [email protected].

We’ve also compiled a list of ways you can help those served by Lutheran Congregational Services. By putting together bereavement care packages or raising money for Journeys Through Grief support groups, you bring comfort to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. When you volunteer at a work site or assemble clean out buckets, you offer hope to those trying to rebuild following a disaster.

No matter what you choose to do in the name of Jesus, all of life -every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life-   flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.
