Anne McGuckin
In 1998, when Anne McGuckin began working at Paul’s Run Retirement Community, she was looking for looking for a part time job to keep her busy after working for 28 years. Anne liked the organization and since there weren’t any open part time positions she accepted a fulltime position, and planned to work for about six months. Now after 13 and a half years Anne is going to retire – again.
Since 2001, Anne has been a human resources representative for Liberty Lutheran based at Paul’s Run, and reports that her colleagues are the reason for her to stay twelve and a half years longer than she expected. “The employees are great, and Liberty Lutheran really appreciates us,” she said. “I have really enjoyed working here.” Anne especially enjoyed working in human resources because she was able to develop relationships with her colleagues. “I really like the interaction with the employees.”
Anne is looking forward to spending more time with her husband and friends. She has a sister who lives in Madrid, Spain, and is excited to visit her more often. She also likes to swim, and plans on spending more time at the pool.

Raisa Rozenbaum
In 1989 Raisa Rozenbaum and her family came to America from Ukraine. In 2000, she joined the staff at Artman Lutheran Home in the business office. In 2001, when Liberty Lutheran was formed, her position evolved. Raisa is now retiring after nearly 12 years in Liberty Lutheran’s fiscal department.
“My first job in America was good, but when I came to Artman, it was like my home. The people here became my family,” she said. “I like this company very much; it was a wonderful time in my life. I love my job and I like what I’m doing here.”
After retirement, Raisa looks forward to seeing long-distance friends and family more often, and to “just enjoying my life,” she said.
